Everything about tracking movies & TV with your crew. Still stuck? Contact support.

Getting started

What is ReelCrew?

ReelCrew is a community-first movie and TV tracking app built around the people you actually watch with. You log what you watch, rate it, react, and share an activity feed, a group watchlist, and a leaderboard with your crew.

Is ReelCrew free?

Yes. ReelCrew is free to download and use on iPhone.

What platforms is ReelCrew available on?

ReelCrew is on iPhone and iPad via the App Store. An Android version is in the works.

How is ReelCrew different from Letterboxd?

ReelCrew is built around small, private groups called crews rather than a public network. With your crew you share a feed, vote on a shared watchlist, schedule watch nights, run challenges, and compete on a leaderboard — just with the people you watch with. It also tracks TV per season, not only movies.

Crews

What is a crew?

A crew is a private, invite-only group. Members share an activity feed, a group watchlist you vote on, watch-night scheduling, challenges, badges, and a leaderboard.

How do I start or join a crew?

Create a crew from your profile and share the invite link or code, or open an invite link a friend sends you. You can be in more than one crew and switch between them.

Logging & tracking

Can I track TV shows, not just movies?

Yes. TV is tracked per season — log each season you watch, rate it, and react, alongside your movies.

How do I log a movie or show?

Search a title, pick movie or TV, mark it watched or a rewatch, choose when you watched it, give it a rating out of 10, and optionally add reactions and a quick take.

What are challenges, watch nights, and badges?

Challenges are time-boxed crew goals with a champion. Watch nights let you schedule a title off the crew watchlist and collect RSVPs. Badges are earned for milestones, and the leaderboard ranks crew members across several categories.

Importing & data

Can I import my history from Letterboxd or IMDb?

Yes. You can import your watch history and ratings from a Letterboxd export (.zip or CSV) or an IMDb ratings CSV.

Where does the movie and TV data come from?

Titles, posters, and metadata come from TMDb. Streaming availability is provided via JustWatch and TMDb and can vary by region. ReelCrew uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Does ReelCrew show where to watch a title?

Yes. A movie's detail shows whether it is in theaters, streaming, or available to rent or buy, and which services carry it. Availability is region-dependent.

Account & privacy

How is my privacy handled?

Crews are private and invite-only. You control how your name appears to others — full name, first name, or username — and you can block users and report objectionable content.

How do I delete my account or data?

In the app, go to Settings and choose Delete Account, which permanently removes your account and associated data. You can also see the account deletion and data deletion pages.
